On the last day of VBS all of the kids’ names were placed in a hat for the chance to win one of several prizes. Most of the prizes consisted of something like a plastic cup, a poster or perhaps a music CD… (all nice things that could easily fit into a backpack). Caleb however hit the jackpot and won the nearly life-sized inflatable kangaroo that has taken up permanent residence in his room. Though I heavily considered contesting the drawing as I never actually saw his name on the winning ticket, in the end I conceded that our son had indeed won and his parents had come up short.
