A Day at Teotihuacan

A little over a week ago Amy, Caleb and I had the chance to visit the largest archeological site in Mexico, the pyramids of Teotihuacan. Construction at this location is thought to have begun prior to 200 BC and have reached completion by AD 100.

Unlike the pyramids in Egypt these formations were not used as tombs as the pyramids do not contain any hollow portions. Caleb was a bit disappointed that we wouldn’t be going inside. However stairs do lead all the way up the exterior so his outlook improved once he discovered we’d be able to hike to the top. (To his credit he was able to climb all 213 vertical feet on his own two legs!)
